MENTOR is the lead champion for youth mentoring in the United States.
We serve young people between the ages of 6 and 18, and MENTOR's work
over the last two decades has helped millions of young people find the
support and guidance they need to build productive and meaningful lives.
Currently, 18 million children in the United States want and need a
mentor, and three million have one. MENTOR's mission is to close that "mentoring gap" so that every one of those 15 million children has a caring adult in their life.
Our Goal
MENTOR's helps children by providing a public voice, developing and
delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide and promoting
quality for mentoring through standards, cutting-edge research and state
of the art tools.

This
Discussion Forum on the internet was conceived and brought to fruit by
an ex-offender while in prison. It is now one of the greatest
opportunities for serving prisoners and their families on the internet!
I
encourage all those who have links to those in prison to
join. There is a regional forum for those related in love and
ministry to prisoners in Georgia.

and their loved ones.
The
purpose of Kairos is to help build and nurture strong
Christian communities among the residents of correctional
institutions. The Kairos experience for residents starts with
a 3-day short course in Christianity. This weekend involves
30-42 inmates screened by the Chaplain. The weekend is modeled
after renewal weekends like Cursillo, Tres Dias, Walk to
Emmaus and Via De Cristo.
Millions of
incarcerated persons in North America and beyond are in darkness and
searching for a ray of hope. Now, more than ever, people in prison need
the light of God's truth. That's why Crossroad Bible Institute has been
working since 1984 to provide them with faith-based reentry education,
to equip the church to make disciples, to guide our students into
reentry agencies upon their release and to educate the church on
criminal and restorative justice issues.
